How I Lost 15 Pounds in 7 Weeks Without Even Trying
I know it sounds hard to believe but it worked for me and all I did was cut out the meat. Before you freak out and throw your hands in the air and say… I can’t stop eating meat, it might be worth a try.
I read a book called Quantum Wellbeing and the authors’ arguments for removing meat from your diet are quite convincing. I am 42 years old and have eaten meat all my life but always felt there was some truth to the theory that we are not really meat eaters. Our teeth are not shaped like meat eaters and our gut takes too long to digest meat. 6 days as opposed to two hours for vegetables. (Imagine what that meat is like after 6 days in your gut!)
I literally just gave up meat and the whole way I ate changed. We traditionally center our meals around meat and everything else is secondary when this changes the whole way you eat also changes because you have to center your meal around what used to be a secondary food, vegetables.
You’ll find yourself eating filling chickpea burgers and couscous patties and feeling full. You can add lots of flavor with herbs and spices and never feel uncomfortably full again, just pleasantly satisfied. When you cut out meat, your body seems to work more efficiently, you feel fuller faster and your stomach starts to shrink very quickly.
I am now losing weight gradually but steadily to the point where I have lost enough and would like to stop losing weight now but not sure how. My body seems to be finding its own natural level and I can eat small treats almost whenever I like and still not gain like I used to.
I would check with your doctor before making this type of change to your diet, but it has worked for me. I went from 80kg to 74kg in 7 weeks and didn’t feel like I was depriving myself of anything, it was easy.
