The ocean of life constantly exhibits some tides. Standing firmly at the top, these people were never arrogant. Even when crawling at the bottom of the ravine, there is no turning point. Keep moving with hope. Because – Man Jadda Wa Jadda – those who work endlessly have never failed.

Not just a rhetorical phrase, the 14 authors in this book had some experiments with their daily life. They walked straight through the thick fog at the dark night. Not only collecting the works of the western writers, the room captured 3 x 2.5 m was filled with many books of some legendary authors from Indonesia. Like Pramoedya Ananta Tur, Putu Wijaya and Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Magazine Horizon was his subscription every month. Because by reading a lot, Bernardo started to write and send some articles to the media.

In 2001, his writings began to be published in a number of magazines. From Horizon, Anninda, Sahabat Anak and Kuntum. In addition, he was eager to learn English. Moreover, there were two volunteers from Australia, Margaret Rolling and John Rolling. Bernando determined silently, “Someday I have to experience studying in a foreign country (page 14). He had a beautiful ending. Bernando’s longing to be in contact with the Western world finally came true (2010).

It also mentioned a children’s story (page 125). She was abandoned by her mother who died when she was still a small baby. A father’s love is the only rope of hope. This 172-page book was based on true stories. The characters are not the political elite who have corrupted the people’s budget, but the grassroots who are soaked in sweat under the hot sun.
