5. Magnesium
Magnesium is a caretaker. If children do not have enough of this mineral in their diets, then they may fall prey to diabetes, kidney stones, high BP and anxiety as they age.
Magnesium RDV: The range is quite varied when it comes to this mineral. Babies aged 1-3 years are supposed to have 80mg/day and it increases to 130mg for children aged between 4-8 years. Also, 9-13 year olds should have 240 mg/day and 350-400mg for over 13 years.
