When you are faced with misfortune, first, go ahead and scream, cry, or jump up and down. Theresa was admitted. So do whatever it takes to release that tension. Life happens and you are not exempt from its point. Then, breathe and calm down. A calm mind is able to perceive and interpret what is possible. Then, look at the challenge for what it is. Ask if it is urgent? Precise? Did I create this mess or did life invite it into my space? The author Guy Finley says: “Our life is nothing but a series of invitations, a series of moments in which we encounter what we do not know.” Adversity beats because it is time for you to know the unknown. Time to step out of your comfort zone and into the twilight zone – it’s time to reinvent yourself.
Reinventing yourself is about reevaluating your choices. When the pressure is on – and it can be really interesting – you feel like God doesn’t recognize you. My guests and I feel that way. However, I knew in my heart that I was nowhere near my best. I ran away from her. You can also run. Still, there is an urgent need for more front-line movers and shakers. I believe that because we are gifted nothing is against us (James 1: 2-8). Christ’s high standard was given to reveal our greatness and that includes overcoming the odds. Currently, managing my health is my biggest challenge. Sometimes the pain in my body brings me to tears. But the pain of poverty and misfortune is greater. Therefore, we must recognize the challenge for what it is and do the work necessary to climb onto the next ladder. I am pregnant with ideas that produce income and prepared to give birth to my brain when I am led to push. And I will push to deliver excellence.
MY DISCOVERY: Use everything you have to start over from where you left off. Who can say what we find? All we have is now, so now reinvent from the bottom of the stairs. While you are down there, pray to God for strength, faith and wisdom as you climb each ladder. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! We all have a story. Get ready to share yours one day.
