Teach Your Baby To Crawl With This Reliable 5-Step System

Parents often ask for ways to help their baby crawl.

If I had to narrow the best way down to 5 steps, they would be my 5P Crawling System.

Many parents know that crawling is one of the most important things that children have to master. It is a key period when your child becomes stronger, learns the environment, improves visual skills and improves physical abilities.

Crawling is a natural skill that most children master automatically. But many times it doesn’t happen – for a number of really good reasons.

As children with poor head control often do not like lying on the stomach. And good head control is one of the key skills a child must have to learn to climb. So, if head control is mastered later than normal, later development may also be a little slower than normal.

That’s when parents usually start asking for help teaching their baby to crawl.

It is mostly only professionals who know how to teach children to climb. But they still only use a few proven techniques. In essence, most of these techniques encourage your child to be more tolerant of lying on his stomach.

But there is a technique that I have found to work very well, it is safe to try and can be done by all parents.

I call it the 5P Baby Crawling System. It’s a logical 5 Step System to get almost any baby crawling in no time.

Let’s look at the 5P steps individually…

P – Put it on the carpet. The first thing every baby must master before there is any hope of learning to crawl… is to be comfortable in the tummy position. You will get great results doing this if you talk and play with your baby when she is on the mat.

P – Together a roller. Drag an ordinary bath towel into a “sausage”. Of course, you can also buy any other type of roller. They are cylindrical shaped soft toys… preferably solid. You can get inflatables, but solid ones usually last much longer and can also be used to teach your baby to sit and walk.

P – Position on the roller. Gently place the “sausage” under your child’s upper body…arms hanging over the front of the “sausage”. The “sausage” towel supports his upper body – NOT his stomach – with his elbows only touching the mat. He should raise his upper body slightly, thus allowing him to explore the surroundings. Make sure your elbows are touching the mat – they shouldn’t be hanging in the air.

P – Place your elbows. Now you have to do something. Gently hold your baby by the elbows and pull them towards your body. It almost looks like your baby wants to lie on his elbows. Continue to provide support.

P – Do it in front. This is the most important step. Get down on the floor directly in front of your child and face him. Now, let your baby look at your face while you talk, entertain and encourage.

The idea is to encourage your baby to endure longer sessions on his tummy. Your child should focus on you and then spontaneously develop a sense of using the elbows and legs for support. If it’s done right, you’ll soon see her standing on both knees and straight arms… ready to climb.

The power of this 5P System lies in raising your child’s upper body to look around… all while lying down.

It also only takes a few minutes each day to start seeing results. Obviously, if you can fit in more than one session per day, the results will come faster.

The bottom line is… that your baby crawling is easy and important, but unfortunately neglected unnecessarily. But anyone can use this 5 Step Crawling System to get results almost like clockwork.
