Guitar Songs For Beginners – Top 3 Easiest Guitar Songs Ever Written Anyone Can Play
Playing the guitar is one of the deepest pleasures life has to offer. But many beginning guitarists get discouraged too quickly. The problem is that very often they try to learn guitar parts that are too difficult for them. If you are a beginner, then you need to learn guitar songs for beginners first. Here are three extremely easy songs you should start with:
1- A horse without a name – America
No doubt you know this song. It’s the easiest song I can think of and my 9 year old played it on his first day of learning guitar. It’s very simple and there are only two chords to learn; E minor is Dadd6add9 (shown in the diagram below). Don’t let the name of the chords scare you, both chords only require two fingers to be played. Just in case you don’t know how to read tablature, the first line represents the first string which is the high E and the last line the low E. The numbers represent which fret to play.
E minor – Dadd6add9

—–0———2—– (ring Dadd6add9)
—–2———0—– (middle finger in E minor)
—–2———0—– (index E minor)
—–0———2—– (index Dadd6add9)
2- For what it’s worth – Buffalo Springfield
This song also consists of only two chords. These are E and A major. They are a little more difficult, since you need three fingers to play instead of two as in the previous song, but still, they are very easy to master. The x in the chart below means you don’t play that string.
E major – A major
—–0———0—–
—–0———2—– (ring A)
—–1———2—– (index E, major A)
—–2———2—– (ring E, index A)
—–2———0—– (from middle E)
—–0———x—–
3- Feelin’ Alright – Traffic
Now the great thing about this song is that you don’t need to learn new chords. It consists of the same two chords as in the previous song; E and A major.
