Teen Pregnancy and How To Reclaim Your Life

Having a child remains the greatest gift and feeling in the world and women have been blessed with a womb and everything necessary to have children. But wouldn’t it be nice to have it at the right time? The ages between ten and nineteen are developmental ages that begin differently for every girl. This is a time when a girl has the opportunity to enjoy how she develops into full womanhood and to plan, go to school and enjoy her teenage years. In a normal world she is always in a way supposed to take direction from her parents who by all means do their best to send her to school and help her to be the best she can.

Statistics show that one in three girls in America is estimated to be pregnant at least once before reaching their twenties. However, this number is better than ten years ago when the number was four in ten girls, still too high of course. The center for disease control [CDC] issued a new report on birth rates U. S, and for the first time in fourteen years, teenage pregnancy rates increased -rising 3. 5% from 2oo5 to 2006, the most recent year for which data is available. For example, only in New York City, doctors anticipate that 40,000 teenagers will be pregnant this year. I can’t even begin to talk about Africa and other third world countries because it is the worst and so rampant that it makes it very clear that we live in an era where teenage pregnancies have taken over the world. Some are as a result of stupid mistakes, some as a result of carelessness, some peer pressure, some just for fun, some cultural and some because of the violation.

Either way it happens, it’s not the best way to go. The children they raised is the most difficult thing that any boy or girl should do, because then, it is still a teenager who now has to take on the responsibilities of an adult when this happens. Teenage pregnancies do not only have serious consequences on mothers, but extend to the child’s fathers, the poor child, grandparents and society.

God made us live once and once only. Once you pass a certain age, you will never go back. For example, when you are fifteen years old and you develop into this very beautiful girl and every part of you comes beautiful and suddenly a guy comes and sweeps you off your feet and you not only lose your virginity, but you get pregnant.

When this happens, things start to go downhill, which starts with your body. Your hormones developed at twice the normal rate – chest enlarged and sometimes begins to fall, stomach elongated – so stretch marks, saggy or broken skin from weight gain. Then your self-esteem drops to zero, then the financial aspect also starts to settle and you are only fifteen years old and the father of the child is also around your age and in high school with no sure way to support both you and the child. And maybe both your parents were barely struggling to pay your school fees. To make matters worse, the child’s father runs away and lives with you and this child or with your parents or with you alone. Before you know it, you’re overwhelmed and depressed about not having it together as a mom—which in itself has many ramifications.

Some girls even go so far as to abuse drugs or alcohol for the norm of pain. Some engage in wrongful sexual activities such as prostitution for money or again to cover the pain. Some girls begin to withdraw from society, friends and family members and are left with endless pain and regret. Some boys decide to go for abortion which could be very complicated or they chose to give the child for adoption and remain in regret all because they are not ready. Being a parent is always hard and being a teenage parent is especially hard on both mother and child. Teenage mothers are more likely to do drugs out of high school and therefore cannot achieve their goals and are more likely to be single parents throughout their lives. Children of teenage parents are also more likely to repeat grades, be in poor health, remain in poverty and lack good parental care and education, be victims of abuse and neglect, be placed in foster care, and be incarcerated and abandoned. out of school themselves. Worst of all, they become teenage parents themselves creating an intergenerational cycle.

The effect on the fathers of the children is not as severe as on the children. However; most of them also drop out of school or get very low-paid jobs to take care of their children. Some run away as soon as they hear the girl is pregnant, while some deny having anything to do with you. Most of them also get into drugs, alcohol, robbery and jobs that they wouldn’t have done if they had waited for the right time. 40-60% of these boys end up in prison living as children growing up without knowing who their father is and the circle repeats itself.

Grandparents suffer like society because they have to find the means to take care of these teenage mothers and their children. But you want to depend on your parents, adoption agencies or assistance to take care of you and your children. Isn’t it very low and cheap? In a few words, having a child as a teenager makes it very difficult for a boy or girl to achieve their goals, such as completing high school, going to university, getting a good job or even getting married, which they put also additional problems to the child. All of the above effects have been known to put serious strain on the relationship between teenage mothers and the child’s father so 70% of teenage parents do not end up together.

But there is hope

This brings me to five very powerful steps on how to reclaim your life after all.

1]Acceptance:

This may sound harsh, but just being aware of what is not right in your life is 98% the battle. It is difficult, but once you know what is wrong, you will instinctively find a way to deal with it. Teenage pregnancy comes with many difficulties, economically, emotionally, psychologically and physically. A lot of teenagers as a rule that pain is involved in drug trafficking, alcohol, sex prostitution. But I strongly advise anyone in this situation to face it with a clear mind, to be able to think clearly. I advise teenage mothers to make a list.

Right when you wake up, before you have time to establish your routine and your defense is up. Write how you feel. I’m really happy where you are,

Do you like being out of school?

What do you want for your life and your child?

What do you like about life? Write down everything in your life that you are really happy with and everything that you are not happy with, then you can start looking for ways to adjust and reclaim your life. Acceptance must also mean!

2]Take full responsibility for your situation.

Stop pointing fingers at anyone, even the child’s father.

You and you alone can change your situation and all you need is to first recognize that it is wrong and you don’t want to stay somewhere in bitterness. Having a child does not stop you from reaching your goals. It can only be temporary. Instead of putting some strength in you to fight for success for you to give your child the best in life and help stop the teenage pregnancy cycle. While doing all these, ask God to guide you through, showing you how to get your life back. Ask him for strength and courage and start looking at your child as a blessing instead, forgive yourself and everyone involved and stay focused on how to get out.

In this case, ask yourself, how can I get out of this mess?

What can I do to be a responsible person to my child, parents and my community?

Is he guilty or pointing a finger at someone reasonable and worthy?

What can I do to prevent this from happening to me or my son or daughter?

What a legacy he intends to live on.

3]Stay organized [no clutters]

You may be wondering, what has been organized has to do with me having a child or reclaiming my life. Yes it works. Read on to find out. Being organized in every aspect of life not only helps you stay focused, but helps you thrive in any kind of crisis.

This should be started as soon as you get out of bed. Say your prayer [thanking God for a new day and ask for guidance for day], fix your bed, fold everything that needs folding, leave and go to the bathroom where you brush your teeth then take a nice hot shower. After all the grooming, you will feel energized to face the day. Then you can go back to other household chores and make sure everything is in order. Keeping yourself clean and your surroundings organized not only makes you feel good from the inside, but also transitory to the outside and to society. Being ugly and clumsy only adds to the stress because then, your face feels exactly the way your surroundings look.

In this case, we recommend making a list of things for the day, put it on the fridge or take it with you to work if you work outside your home. I believe that if your house or surroundings are clear of clutter, then your mine will also be free and organized. So what!

4]Find reasons to be grateful.

Having a baby is the greatest gift and also an amazing feeling. But having the right time is the best. Having a baby as a teenage mother is so difficult for everyone involved because of the package that comes with it. But a child remains a child and the best gift, regardless of how it was born. So, instead of focusing on this mistake, turn it around and start looking at yourself as one of the blessed among other women to be blessed with the fruit of the womb. Look at that boy as he is worth precious gold. Get into things that are rewarding and will make you and your child happy and things that will glorify God. If you can sing, join a choir, if you can dance, join a dance group.

If you can write, take your pen and a notebook or your computer and get to work, if you are blessed with some special skills or talents that I believe we all have, this is the time to use them. Stay positive about life and be a better person despite everything. Stay away from anything that can hinder your way of thinking. Yes, it’s never too late to reclaim your life. AND REMEMBER WITH THIS LOOK, YOU CAN TURN YOUR ENCOUNTERS TO RETURNS AND PERHAPS, IMPUT THE OTHER WOMEN. Never let it stay ideal.

And that brings us to the last and most important aspect!

5]Give yourself the gift of education

This, as many people, carry with me, remains the number one key that can get out of low self-esteem, humiliation, defeat and poverty. It is the key to freedom. And the US of A is a place where anyone, regardless of race or gender, can get by without any problems. The US offers such great opportunities as financial aid and all kinds of student loans that you will not find in other parts of the world and it is worth taking advantage of.

Go to school and get at least a degree, although I still advise you not to settle for less. You can always follow your heart and you can still find the purpose for which you are here on earth. You can be a teenage/single mom, but still be an amazing woman. Don’t listen to people who tell you negative things like you can’t do it, never take No for an answer or settle for less for being a teen mom. I write from personal experience.

I was a teenage mother from the age of thirteen and even though I came from a continent with little or no opportunity, I thrived because I followed all these steps.

Choose your friends. People with the same goals as you. Those who are ambitious and motivated to change their lives. Avoid negative people because all they do is take away everything you ever had as self worth. Stop making excuses for yourself.

Get some kind of vocational training or learn a trade, and take every opportunity that comes your way until it helps you get your life back on track.
