The Aquarian Spirit Soars With a New Moon, Mercury, Sun, Chiron & Neptune in Aquarius

We have very special days when the New Year begins, Chinese New Year and the Year of the Tiger, and Valentine’s Day ~ a celebration of love and connection.

In Western astrology, this week is all about the energy of Aquarius with five planets in this pioneering sign. If you remember the song from the musical Hair: “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”, you know that Aquarians are such original thinkers, revolutionaries and non-conformists that they reshape the world for the better. They are not interested in the way things have always been, but in a world of freedom and equality for all. They always look to the future, not the past. The cultural revolution of the 1960s and 70s epitomizes the Aquarian’s need to rebel against the established order and highlight a new vision. I loved this musical as a child! It was somehow mysterious and uplifting, that’s all I was interested in.

Aquarius is the eleventh sign in the unfolding of the zodiac. He is considered masculine and represents the element of air, even though he is depicted as a woman carrying water. At first glance, this may seem strange. But Water is associated with education, and Aquarians are mostly educated humanitarians, with a deep interest and sincere concern for other people. They willingly dedicate their time to the service of humanitarian organizations because they really care.

Prepare for a new orientation in your mind (Mercury), some impatience (Moon) and new ideas about who you could be at your highest potential (Sun), open to new healing technologies or a new perspective on your personal well-being or healing (Chiron) and a deepening sense of oneness and connection with life and others (Neptune). It’s a bit much to take in, and obviously it’s going to last longer than a week, just see it as the beginning of a longer period of meeting the Aquarian Spirit within you. You can take advantage by consciously tapping into this flow and bring out that rebel in you. Think about where your life has stalled and needs some shaking up…

You can read the following information as a weekly forecast or you can use the descriptions of various astrological information independently, because they describe astrological wisdom beyond the actual quality of time at the moment.

Here are the specific constellations for this week:

o Mercury sails into Aquarius with a quincunx to Jupiter

o opposition of Mercury Mars

o Venus enters Pisces

o New Moon in Aquarius

o conjunction of Sun, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius

o Moon in Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius

Uranus rules Aquarius

Uranus rules Aquarius and, with Saturn, the 11th House (Friends and Vision) and enacts Aquarian values and qualities in its outrageous, unbridled way. In the body, Uranus rules the nervous system, mental disorders, and the pituitary gland.

While of course order and balance are important in the world, the other side of the coin, change and evolution towards greater love, freedom and prosperity for all, is just as important. Human society could not develop and expand if there were no individuals who challenge the established order. We need them! Uranus is a progressive humanitarian and visionary who has little respect for authority; he manifests his will over power in his idealistic pursuit of freedom, justice and opportunity for the weaker members of society.

Uranus is the opposite of brother Saturn: Where Saturn is concerned with limitations, Uranus rules our expansive, creative intellect, calling us to inspired thought and action, and to uniqueness rather than conformity. These qualities arise from our connection to universal intelligence. Change is the key word for Uranus, always changing for the better, and the sooner the better, to expand life and higher realms of consciousness. Uranus principles describe our greatest leaders and role models.

As you can see, Uranus and Saturn make a strong pair and somehow belong together in their seemingly opposite roles.

Large T-square

It sounds like the Big Bang, and some people expect it to work a bit like that. We are in the middle of a major change of the old that will continue throughout this year.

And of course, our friend Uranus, as well as Saturn, are involved in a so-called T-square, which is much talked about in the astrological community because of its far-reaching implications for our current time of change. Saturn opposes Uranus five times from November 8 to July 2010 and is activated by a square with Pluto in a T-square 3 times from November 2009 to August 2010.

All of this has global implications, demonstrating an important cultural shift, a challenge and the beginning of the structural collapse in our society that we have all feared since the financial markets began to collapse and the economy began to collapse. But there are also very personal consequences that each of us face as individuals, and we have to act by making adjustments in our personal lives, and this week is a good week to face that more.

Mercury sails into Aquarius with the Quincunx to Jupiter

Uranus and Aquarius represent a very strong intelligence, and intelligence combined with ingenuity produces great discoveries in science and the most impressive works of art. But when Mercury takes up residence in the highly intellectual and detached sign of Aquarius, we may end up “turning into the brilliant but cold-blooded Mr. Spook,” as astrologer Jeff Javer put it. If it weren’t for the optimism of Jupiter and the loving Venus making its new home in Pisces, we could get lost in the justice of the general revolution and kill our own children and a bright future, as happened during the French Revolution, which ended in a lot of blood, when everyone killed everyone.

Uranus is not for brides and can easily get carried away thinking the end justifies the means.

Mercury in Aquarius in opposition to Mars in Leo

A Mercury-Mars opposition can fuel the New Moon’s impatience and make us more easily frustrated, irritated, or angry than usual. But their connection also carries the potential for immediate action and implementation of new ideas. The solution can be found where Aquarius and Leo meet in balancing the ego’s need for self-gratification, Leo’s applause and admiration, with Aquarius’ integration of consideration for others, the larger group, family, or society.

Venus enters Pisces

Venus, the goddess of love, is exalted in Pisces, which means she feels right at home in the all-encompassing, transcendent sign of Pisces. Loving Venus smooths the raw edges of the week with all the eager energy of Aquarius and helps us keep in touch with what life really is, our inner connection with all that is, life in all its forms. Venus in Pisces shows us our visions and dreams of unity and true love, and this is the first necessary step to achieving this. I like this quote from Abraham-Hicks: “Sometimes people say, ‘Well, Abraham, shouldn’t I face reality?’ We say, “No, you never do that! Never face reality unless it’s perfect in every way.”

It’s definitely different from what I was brought up with. But think about it. Nothing was ever created without an idea or a vision. Each house had a project and an architectural plan before construction. How can you expect to live a more fulfilling and fulfilling life if you don’t allow yourself to first dream about it and then take steps towards it? The trick to the manifestation business is to keep your focus on the vision and not fixate on the disappearance of the manifestation that hasn’t happened yet. Be patient in the constant flow of unfolding and the endless process of creation that you will never be done with. You can also enjoy the journey and keep an eye on the prize. And use every opportunity to be happy and feel joy along the way.

New Moon in Aquarius

The new moon each month is traditionally a magical time when the old ends and the new is ready to emerge. This is a time to go inward and look back at your month and how it has been for you and from your awareness to envision your next lunar cycle. I find the New Moon space a bit like New Year’s resolutions. The new moon is on Saturday, and you can find time to sit down with your journal and do some inner work. Write down your desires and where you want to go, have or achieve in the next month. Be specific.

When I work with a vision, I use a crystal to store my visions and keep it on my altar, or I meditate with a stone. It works as an anchor, multiplying and amplifying the energy of my visions and making me more centered and grounded. If you want to read about how to use crystal quartz to make your dreams come true, I have written more articles about it.

The Aquarius New Moon can make us more impatient than usual. My birth Moon is in Aquarius, so I will be especially in tune with this New Moon. I will plan accordingly and have time with my girlfriends to do something fun together. We’ll go dancing and then have a spa day with an infrared sauna, steam room and hot tub, just the thing to do with your heart sisters.

Cleansing and preparing yourself physically as well as emotionally and mentally honors the spirit of the New Moon.

Conjunction of Sun, Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius

This connection again expands our horizons to include others in our judgments, feeling part of something bigger than our own little individuality and ego. We can find satisfaction and fulfillment in being a useful and supportive member of the circle of friends in which we move, the people we work with, or society. We can heal the alienation and anxiety we may have with groups and learn to relate to our community in a new way.

I look forward to hearing how you spend your New Moon and Valentine’s Day. I hope you enjoyed the article, have a wonderful inspirational week, greetings and many blessings, Shakti.
