3 Easy Steps to Replace Your Pachislo Door Lock
The most common problem with Pachislo slot machines is missing door keys. If your key is missing or the lock is not working properly, the first thing you need to do is gain access to the inside of your car without the door key.
Once you get access to the inside of the car, there are three ways to solve the door lock problem:
1. Find the right door key for your car. This can be difficult to do, especially if you have a car that is not ordinary.
2. Install the door opener. It is possible, but not easy.
3. Buy a matching door lock and key and simply replace your current lock.
The easiest way is to replace the entire door lock and key with a new one. To do this, you will need to remove the old lock from your car, measure it and determine what “hook” you will need for your car. There are several sizes of locks and many different types of hooks
Removing and replacing the current lock
1. After accessing the car, look on the inside of the door. The most common type of lock is held by only two screws. Remove these two screws and slide the lock out of the door from the inside. You may also need to loosen the screw on the back of the lock to loosen the hook to give yourself some wiggle room to pull the lock.
There are also locks that are held in place by one screw and only one lever, and locks that are soldered to two latches that run the length of the door. This guide does not cover these situations.
2. Once the lock is out, measure the length only. This is the only measurement you will need. Then look at the lock hook. There are MANY different types of hooks. Try to match the hook with a lock of the same length. You can find locks online that meet your requirements.
3. When your lock arrives, insert the end of the hook, but do not tighten all the way. Put the lock in place, put both screws back in and see how it fits. There are times when you need to turn the lock so that what you had as the bottom screw is now the top screw. When everything is in order and the key turns the hook, which in turn raises or lowers the latch and opens the door…you’re DONE!
