If you have more than one computer in your home or small business, you’ll need to check that each one is covered. Therefore, enabling the firewall on every connection will help prevent the virus from spreading from one computer to another if one unfortunately becomes infected.

If you are using Open Source (OOS) software, make sure you are set up correctly, even if (OOS) has a reputation for being less vulnerable to hackers etc, better safe than sorry as they say!

A little warning – no firewall (or antivirus software) can stop malicious code once you receive it, for example if you click yes to install antivirus software if you already have it or if that’s what you’re talking about you’ve never heard of.

A firewall won’t make your computer completely secure, you’ll still need anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
