Why The Bible Leaves More Questions Than Answers

I was born into the ancient religion of the Bible Belt and grew up believing in Jesus. Yet I found that it always left me with feelings of unworthiness and pain, even guilt. I very much identify with the article written by one of your members, while a minister of 26 years still has more questions than answers.

I found what I call the key to understanding the Bible, parables and Jesus. Due to lack of space, I cannot dwell on all my discoveries, but I will tell you how I discovered it. After much reading and thinking, I began to see a great difference between the Old Testament and the first 4 books of the New Testament. I have not found anything controversial in either the Old Testament or the Book of Acts prior to revelation.

I learned that if you really want to confuse the problems and the people reading them, give them 4 versions of the same thing for the study guide. We do not find that mathematics, English or any other subject is taught in four ways at the same time and in one place.

In these 4 books alone can be found the birth, life and teachings of Jesus. Although the Old Testament is difficult to read about all the wars and destruction, it was clear who Jehovah called himself and what he wanted.

But in the New Testament, war and grievances disappeared, because with Jesus a new path of love, compassion and forgiveness began. But in the Book of Acts, after Jesus left, the reader sees the disciples again doing the same things that Jehovah and his prophets did. Power equals right consciousness, which is still being played out today. The old is clearly marked in the Bible from the new. but we have missed the message of Jesus because in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John the words of Jehovah are put into the mouth of Jesus.

So we have a loving Jesus speaking words of hatred and condemnation. As for me, I chose one principle that I believe defined Jesus. It was love. I studied the word, gave it meaning, and applied it to everything Jesus had to say and do. In this I found the blending of the old and the new, as Jesus warned the people.

Nowhere is there a greater hoax than what people have been taught to believe about this man in love. The man of love became the man of war, which created horrible wars that killed innocent people only for a belief different from the current accepted religion.

Even the fact that Jesus refused to judge anyone for anything was set aside until they taught that he would return to judge everyone. A complete reversal of the truth.
